Friday the 13th proved to be a push day at the LaLa. The master bathroom windows got sandblasted – I was told I could have gators or naked ladies etched in the glass, but I said, nah, why not just a clean etch. Then the mega truck pulled up to pump polyurethane foam into the roof rafters – $4400 later – I have the best insulation money can buy.
My contractor D came by, usually I deal with S, his partner, so it was good to see him do a walk through of the house. He pointed out a lot of stuff that got taken care of on the spot.
The addition is almost fully floated.
A new carpenter B came by and then I went to Pal’s to meet him and bring him a check to start the siding on the addition on Monday.
Pete painted the porch ceiling with the Benjamin Moore Strawberry Fields so I can see what the color is going to look like on the tower. I like it!
Peggy came by to talk about faux finish to the back guest room – she’s just doing that one room.
K is returning on Monday from Michigan after having taken a month off. He can do the terrace at least and finish up the trim and hanging the doors in the house.
