We are headed off to another state to vest ourselves a little more into this baby prospect this weekend, while this weekend comes off of a week long conference that T hosted here, as well as houseguests in and out for a week, we’re sort of looking forward to the long drive ahead to sort of square ourselves. When I was walking Loca this morning, we took a long walk through the park and I told her we would be gone this weekend, and I told the pelican in the tree we would be gone, then I told the geese, the ducks and the squirrels. I also told them that if we are lucky in a matter of a month, Loca and I would be traipsing through the park with a baby swaddled to my body and I would introduce all of the flora and fauna that I cherish to our little newcomer.
The routine of our lives gives me comfort, disrupting it keeps me sane.
