G and I headed to Asian Pacific after Sip – we took a bottle of Rose with us and sat on the porch and ordered a bunch of sushi after smelling all the great smells from Cafe Degas and getting hungry. She described to me one of her worst encounters in bed from a long time ago and how much she knew better now to say forgetaboutit. We’re in a smaller pool here in our shrunken city. I ride around in my car and see men in scruffy jeans and no shirts working on houses in every fashion and marvel at what it is getting done by these men – rebuilding our city, one nail at a time. Meanwhile at night they become troubadours and serenade us with music that hangs in this sultry air. And again I say we are lucky – all of us men and women here.
