Roosting on my roof

What a gloriously delicious morning – there is barely any humidity and it is slightly overcast with a gentle breeze blowing. Arlene and I walked around the bayou and were pretty much by ourselves. L’s ex has the dogs, so he wasn’t out and N and Renny were no where to be seen. Crossing the footbridge I saw B with Taylor, she was very chatty last night at Sip but I was pretty much reserved, so she stopped to talk – I guess wondering what was up with me. Then as I rounded the bend K pulled up in back of me and I stopped to talk about the roof. He said he never got my message yesterday afternoon (which was why I thought he was actually calling last night), so I told him I was going by Twicklers this morning and would get the flashing, and that if he would do the roof job for $1000, which was what Twickler offered (he actually said $1000 to $1200), then do it. He said he’d have to think about it. Geez Louise – what goes on? Why is he roosting on my roof? Holding my job hostage?
