It isn’t that only a handful of fillies have won the Preakness or that jockey Calvin Borel jumped off the mount this week to ride Rachel Alexandra, it’s more that I overheard two guys with their racing sheets standing in the New Orleans Airport listening to Louis Armstrong being piped in over the sound system talking excitedly about what the jockey said – “I haven’t gotten to the bottom of her.”
