Someone said they saw T and I walking around the bayou the other day with the dogs and said we “looked so happy, it made me happy to see you both.” Happiness is fleeting isn’t it? There are always the best laid plans that go awry.
I was speaking to the cab driver this morning on the way to the airport and he was talking about his retirement savings that pretty much were eclipsed by the downturn in the stock market. He said he couldn’t figure it out after all these years because it seemed like every time he was going to climb to the next level, something came around to throw him back down.
Well, perhaps that is the next level, understanding the reach to find stasis only emphasizes change is what to expect.
I’ve been happy at many stages of my life – and have to admit being in love is where I find the most happiness, because it is in those stretches or lasting moments, I defer to love.
But when you layer on love of friends – a person wrote recently about the pool party that “The pics say it all–you love, and are loved” –
Anchor love in a place – one of the best cities on this planet – New Orleans…
Throw in some lovable dogs and a bastard cat…
Wala – who wouldn’t want to feast at this table?
