Mardi Gras Marathon – #45
This morning the Mardi Gras Marathon (notice the LaLa in this image with the wood columns) looped in front of our house – first the 15 milers came by and then the 23 milers. We used to get the 10 milers which meant we had the half marathon runners, which are a lot happier crowd. My neighbor did his typical event – signs with arrows saying Cigarettes, Cocktails, and a big whopping sign overhead at the bend of the bayou that said YOU’RE ABOUT TO TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORSE. He also made his famous grits and grillades – yum yum a yum.
