Musicians in the hood
We’re blessed to live in a neighborhood with too many New Orleans musicians to name, but last night we had the distinct pleasure of going to hear one of our best bands – Astral Project – at Snug Harbor (one of the best venues in NOLA).
Afterwards we walked down Frenchman Street, which was alive with music, people, and everything you might desire to conjure up for a perfect Saturday night.
What’s amazing is that I hadn’t heard of Astral Project – I was away from the city for 16 years – and it took Flower to tell me about them and send me two of their CDs. She stumbled upon them on her first trip to NOLA, while I was still in California.
