I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in another state about some recent transactions of the people kind and she said, “oh new kid in town” – we talked about how this group of people that I’m around lately have been interacting with each other for a couple of decades now and that my entry into the group moves everyone out of their comfortable alignment – so they react in certain ways – some want to get to know you because they are hungry for new and some want to cut you back because they fear you might take pole position away from them – some want you for other reasons. The best thing to do though is to remember you live in a small town and while this is one group you are a part of – there are many other groups that you move through as well – be fluid – be disruptive – but be true to yourself in each encounter.
I could not agree with you more!
That is why we are simpatico.
