How ya gonna vote?

Kind of like the “how ya gonna clap?” question at Jazz Fest, when one hand has an ice cold beer and the other a piece of hot crawfish bread.

Similarly, the momentum is building for who will be our next governor and with both hands tied behind our backs and even though New Orleans would have you believe it is Jindal and Jindal would have you believe all you need are the moral credentials to run this state, I’m starting to lean my vote towards Foster Campbell.

First of all – no state taxes. Secondly – tax the oil companies that aren’t from here. Right there are two reasons.

I thought when I heard about the no state income tax that it was a charade, but I spoke with someone this weekend who thinks it is highly possible.

Then Scott was cutting my hair at Jupiter Salon – by the way, another great hair cut – and we both agreed we couldn’t vote for John Georges – can’t abide by a governor with two first names.

And Jindal – even though I thought he was locking it up, I was wrong. As Scott pointed out – grandparent wisdom says governors of Louisiana are elected up North, which is where Campbell is from.

I think I’m leaning that way too now. Jindal – forgeaboutit. Georges – can’t do it. And Boaso hasn’t shown any reason to pay attention to him.

So Foster Campbell – it’s about courage.
