Massey’s to open Mid-City headquarters
NEW ORLEANS – Massey’s Professional Outfitters, a Louisiana-based company with stores in Metairie, Baton Rouge and Covington, said it will open headquarters in Mid-City in early 2008.
The new store at 509 N. Carrollton Ave. will be the fourth for Massey’s, which specializes in sporting goods.
Massey’s will renovate the 28,000-square-foot Riley building, which was built around 1907. The new facility will house 20 to 30 employees and serve as a store, warehouse, marketing offices and central distribution hub for Massey’s four Web sites: MasseysOutfitters.com, theflipflopper.com, 800-SKI-SHOP.com and WeGotYourPack.com.
Massey’s was founded in 1972.
