After NO Magazine shot the house for the October issue – the writer asked if I knew any “men who garden” and I do. So I shot her a few names with some pics and lo and behold, she selected my neighbor. He works for Wildlife and Fisheries basically trying to rebuild all that man has destroyed. Meanwhile, they came to photograph him and his garden today and he said he felt a little odd. This is a Sicilian who works like a dog in his garden when it is hotter than Hades and never utters a word of complaint. When he was asked to write why he loves to garden, he said that he likes making his garden nice so that friends can enjoy it. Gotta love him.
