Welcome to menopause, which is coming much earlier to women these days. No one knows why – our grandmothers went through menopause in their late fifties but women from 40 and up are going through it. There is a theory the hormones and antibiotics used in beef and milk are causing women to start their periods at younger ages like 11 and 12, maybe it’s also causing earlier menopause. Regardless, it’s another passage, that is fraught with a feeling of loss and kind of like – finally it is over with – take it from me, someone who was almost in the hospital with the kind of cramps that makes you bang your head on a wall.
