Who dat?

We watched the Saints play the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs in the lobby of the Westin resort in St Maarten. I was wearing my glitter gold and black dress I bought at H&M for this very occasion. It is now considered my lucky Saints dress. One of the heads of my company was rooting for the Eagles. He and other Eagle fans sat on one side of the bar, while the rest of us – the majority of us – rooted for America’s team. When it was getting tense – we got the crowd going by singing “Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say they gonna beat them Saints?”

The Eagles crew asked if I was singing in Ebonics and tried to intimidate me. Didn’t work. I wrote on a bar napkin “Who dat” and had the bartender slip it to my boss. He wrote back “You’re fired. Best wishes.”

Chicago here we come.
