Oprah has tons of money and no children. She is using her resources to help children in South Africa – in particular, she has selected young women whose opportunities are limited.
It’s an odd thing don’t you think that here in New Orleans we are killing each other on a daily basis because young black men don’t have an opportunity to get out of a life that has marginalized them, an education system that has already decided their fate, and/or a culture that dismisses the necessity of them.
Oprah – what different are you than George Bush, who is spending this nation’s resources to fight a war on foreign soil when the war here in New Orleans rages on, timeless, hopeless, but steady?
