Why is it that everyone this year wants to put Christ back in Christmas? There is a big push all over the country to stop having Office Holiday Parties and bring back the Christmas theme to all things December – trees are all the rage, creches are flying off the shelves, and even I bought a red dress to wear to the Bar Pilot’s Xmas Party at the Windsor Court (now that I’m not going to the party, need another reason to wear my dress) .
T writes from California that his daughter, H, came home singing of Christ, virgins and the Lord – all this from her nice little secular school’s Christmas bonanza – and Christmas specials abound on television this season – there is one Christmas themed show every night leading up to Christmas – oh come let’s us adore him, CHRIST THE LORD!
Tomorrow you’ll find me putting the Ha back in Hanukkah at the Hanukkah Bazaar at Temple Sinai standing in line for my flu shot and maybe, just maybe, picking up a couple of extra dreidels for my blue Christmas.
