Make a bet
Yesterday S, my contractor, came by the Can to talk to me about where we’re at and how much $ to finish – yikes – he thinks I can get in by Christmas – I doubt it is what I told him. Then he asked how things were going and I said well since my bonus is determined by how good my last call was and my last call was Yahoo, I was feeling a little wretched about things right now, but whatyagonnado?
This morning the founder of my company emailed me to take on a bet with him on Yahoo even though he keeps comparing Google to Yahoo – listen to me they are not similar – Yahoo is a media company and Google is a tech company. Google competes with MSN and if Yahoo competes anybody – it is with AOL. So we haven’t placed the parameters or the dollar amount but I’m taking that bet on Yahoo.
