Forget about sponge worthy like Elaine pondered in one Seinfeld episode – nowadays everyone is older and the question is are they house worthy. I had lunch with a friend who has been seeing someone regularly and said do you envision moving in together and he said, “well I own my place, so it would have to be moving in with me” and it looks like we’re going that way but that would be a big step – then dinner with another friend who recently bought a house and said, “do you think it’s bad? I just didn’t think I wanted her to be the one to christen my new house.”
It is what it is. If house christening is the benchmark then so be it.
