The world will be watching Monday, September 25 when the Saints play Monday night football in the Superdome. This will be the first image the world has seen of the dome since the horrific scenes of Katrina. U2 and Green Day are playing in the spirit of rebirth and rebuilding here in New Orleans. L has season tickets, so I am going to be there Monday night – woo hoo. I haven’t seen a Saints game since A&R came to town in 1995 and we went and before that my brother had great season tickets and I used to go all the time. I remember sitting in his seats with my sister and Kenny Stabler was our quarterback – also known as the Snake – he was warming up and my sister looked down on the field and said “who is the old grey haired man wearing a Saints uniform down there” and I laughed – our quarterback, honey.
