Or kind of – L, man of mystery, and I were going to have dinner when I got a call from my sister in law that L was in the hospital about to have that baby (2 weeks early I might say). We decided to try to get through dinner because the baby wasn’t here yet – and smack in the middle of appetizers and mojitos, mom called and said it’s a girl! So I left L to eat the grouper and drove over to Ocshner – luckily we were at One which is in the Riverbend and so I just hopped on River Road and was there in minutes. Visiting hours end at 9 – so I got there at 8:45 and waited – but L wasn’t doing well (she had an episiotomy) and Abigail Lane was in the room with her and S so then I just said I’d go today. My niece D flew in from Houston and she was there but the other two were on the phone crying that they couldn’t be by L’s side. By the time I returned, L, man of mystery, was at Maddigans.
