Tonight was art rock and art labels at Sip and Spin. G and I were headed to the Royal Orleans to hear Freddy Omar but it was looking bad rain wise and so we stayed close to home and went to Sip. E doesn’t want me to graduate yet – but she gave me some good advice – apparently I’m being too guarded because of what I went through and not relaxing and just being me. So relax. Breathe. Etc.
The sky opened like something from the Wizard of Oz – looked tornadic D said – she’s a teacher so I guess that is a word. P and L came and introduced themselves to me saying that they thanked me for our comments last night. L is the owner who sold to Odyssey house and P was sitting in back of me and lent me a pen last night. L has lived in the neighborhood for five generations – she has struggled with this same contingent of NIMBY types before. We talked about KS – what an embarrassment to herself she must be – and raised a toast to the rest of the people who live here in MidCity – one of the best places to live in the world.
G and I went to LoLa’s to eat – we forgot our 10% discount from Sip – and halfway through dinner I was falling asleep so we cut it short and came home. I’ve been tired the past few days.
