The Fedexfreight guy showed up today with the metal window frames – first thing he said was I love your name – the Dangermond part – I said yeah, I know. He said that he was in Chalmette – his entire family was there – living within blocks of each other and now they are not going back – he’s in Pearl River, his mother in Lafayette, the rest scattered here and there. I said do you think anyone is rebuilding in Chalmette and he said there are some going back – NOPD with years left for retirement – they’ll go back. He said he went to Texas and contemplated staying but he went fishing once and said, uh huh, I’m back in Louisiana.
