C writes me from France that they missed me for the European reporters conference there – he said the last night was wild – sorry to have missed it this year – last year we went to Krakow and had too much fun. His darling Juliette is due soon with Camille, their bebe – I want a wife name Juliette! – she is a sexpot who sings beautifully and she and C often play music with our company’s band during our reporter’s conferences here in the States.
He said he has written a song of late that is somewhat inspired by the color of New Orleans:
Just a soft Blues (5th July 2006) by Cedric Torossian
Just a soft blues
Like a rose
Offered to those
Who’ve nothing to lose
Just a soft spot
Lighting the arts
Of the warm hearts
Away from a despot
Chorus
Men are humans
But from another kind
Switch off the darkness
Of mutual aggression
And turn on the bulb
Of the soft blues
Just a soft blues
Like a green field
To make us feel
Good in our shoes.
Just a soft spot
Like a sofa
In the midst of a spa
Sheltered from the plot
Men are humans
But from another kind.
Switch off the darkness
Of mutual aggression
And turn on the bulb
Of the soft blues
Just a soft blues
A lost soul parlour
Like a peaceful harbour
For minds to soothe.
