There have been a lot of unforgiving reviews of Emmylou at Jazz Fest on Thursday – saying her voice wasn’t up to par, she was boring, she didn’t address the crowd or New Orleans etc. I know she didn’t play to the crowd but I can’t help loving her anyway and am so happy she came.
