We went to Jazz Fest yesterday in particular to see Emmylou Harris. She was interviewed in the Allison Miner stage and then she played on Gentilly. She is so beautiful and sings like an angel. There were some people who felt like she wasn’t playing to the Fest – she wasn’t rocking out – but every song she played is a gem that I treasure and she has never played to any genre or style. As she said in her interview style is evidence of our limitations. She’s an incredible musician and I was in music heaven just watching her.
