We’re lounging for the lord this morning, listening first to Bach on the IPod and now to a God playlist (every song mentions God, I put this together for an Easter long ago). Emmylou Harris’ Western Wall is playing. I’d go out and get some firewood and build a nice roaring Sunday spiritual fire, only we’re supposed to be headed to Taos but instead we’re looking outside at a winter wonderland.
This is the view out our bedroom:
This is the view from the living room at the wonderful courtyard with the wood burning fireplace that we haven’t used because it’s been too cold outside:
We are deciding about road conditions and Taos and the last day of our spiritual trip, and checking in to see what condition our condition is in, while listening to Lou Reed’s Busload of Faith – was thinking of my friends back home, yesterday was the Crescent City Classic and I saw a video that made me nostalgic.
I got a Joseph Schmidt chocolate bunny for my commie gf but when she landed it had melted to a blob in the backseat of the rental car. Whatyagonnado? Right now Bonnie Rait’s rich voice is singing Angel from Montgomery. So to all my peeps back home in our Chocolate City – Happy Chocolate Bunny Day:
