The internet has changed a lot of the way we get our information but mostly its made so much of it free. It’s a little after 6AM and I’m sitting in Louis Armstrong International Airport (always Moisant to me) using the WiFi. Of course, for free.
Welcome to the information age where we expect to be able to get on the world wide web and pull off information about our lives at no cost to us. It has brought the music industry to its knees, has destroyed newspapers, forget about door to door encyclopedia sales – why bother when there is Wikipedia, the post office once revered as a bargain for a mere pittance is so passé, and the future will be students holding laptops that weigh as much as a toothbrush where the world of literature, history, current events and art/architecture/music will be downloadable for just a song and a dance.
Not bad.
