One thing I learned when I was going through behavior modification for my panic attacks is to stop and take a victory lap when you achieve something you have been striving for or even for little things that happen in your life. So here is the end of the week victory lap:
1) Managed to get fingerprinted for the adoption even though it required going to east hell.
2) Took time from work to watch Obama’s swearing in ceremony.
3) Rallied to celebrate Obama’s victory at friends’ parties.
4) Finally finished my teeth work and had a mouth guard made for my teeth grinding.
5) Went to yoga once.
6) Had a massage and didn’t focus on my back pain.
7) Saved a shaking, hurt German Shepherd, who is now a sweet big lumbering wolf in our house.
8) Bought flight and reserved a house for one in five of my 50th birthday celebrations.
Not bad for a week, if you consider I was only talking about five days, not seven. Here a pic from one of my friend’s inaugural balls right before we all joined hands and sang We Are The World!
