You know how everyone daydreams of winning the lottery? I was on my way to the office this morning before I leave to go back to New Orleans and I read on the front page of the NYT that hedge fund managers have made in the billions – seriously one made $3 billion last year, another $2.7 billion, and yet another $3 billion, BUT the article went on to say, sometimes they can lose the next year. Who goes back to work the next year? Don’t be greedy – take the $3 billion and run. No but seriously what do people do who win the lottery and quit their old life and embrace a new life with such different parameters. T loves to says, “and she loves her job” when speaking about me – I do, but if I made $3 billion, I too would take the money and run. I could learn to love something else. But in reality I did win the lottery – I have a job I love, live in a city I love, in a house I love, with dogs I love (sometimes), now with (ahem – when she returns) a woman I love – so Wa Hoo – I won!
