Two years of overseeing the renovation of the LaLa was enough for me. The painters finally showed up on Thursday to paint the storage room and they had said, one hour to prime, one hour each coat – eight hours later they had one coat of paint on the walls and didn’t show up today and are on their way to Missouri. The side of the driveway is dug up because when they laid the brick strips they put the bricks over the foundation and now the weight of the truck has them all breaking off so now there is a big hole in the ground, bricks lying in it and Marty is no where to be found. The a/c guy who said that there wasn’t anything wrong with the system when he came two weeks ago, came back and went into the attic and found out there is a thermostat broken up there but of course he had to climb over everything on the bed because the painters didn’t finish so everything from that room is in this room and AGHHHHHHHHH. The lock guys came to change the lock in the storage room and they pulled the front door knobs off by accident. All of this is enough to make you want to beat your head with bricks. Now there is stuff strewn from the screen porch into the den and my bike is my bedroom and that is how it will remain till I return from NY. The only good news is the lock guys took the initiative and changed the front door knob that SO BADLY needed it and they did it for free. So la di da.
