Do you know how it is when you walk in a room full of people but there is only one person there – and you move into the next room spilling over with people but there is still only that person there and then you walk into the next room which is filled with people but you are aware of only one person whose essence is palpably felt – and you have a sense of this person filling the entire house even though there are perhaps 60 other people breathing, speaking, smiling, laughing, eating, drinking, walking, sitting, thinking, wanting, waiting, feeling, lying, deceiving, giggling, belching, growling, muttering, looking, swallowing, listening, smelling….
And then I remember what I didn’t say – the last thing you asked me for is time, which is all I have to give you. Time to fade to black in a room, in a house, on a block, in a community, in a city, in a state, in a country, on a planet, in a universe, in the cosmos, in my mind, in my heart, from my fingertips, from my lips, from my smell, from my ears, from my eyes….
