Had a good night sleep last night and woke up to more rain. Loca and I walked a completely different route as I was lost in thought about a number of things – last night’s phone call from the Mesmerizer, yesterday’s phone call from a long distance colleague, and the future road ahead. As I was drinking my cay tea from my Turkish tea pot Fatma brought back from Rize and eating a cut up peach, a friend appeared at my front door. She asked me how I was doing and I said you know what, I am doing well. Everything is falling into place in nice order. My work is satisfying again, my heart is intact and open, and my health is good – can’t complain.
I got up to my desk keeping at eye out to the black sky and hoping this too shall pass for the bike ride tomorrow. I have to bring the dogs to the kennel at 5AM and then head out to Hammond at 6AM to start the bike ride – 75 miles to Mississippi and then camp out by the lake – then 75 miles home the next day.
