Good news for the neighborhood

I don’t know how we will get our news when the Times Picayune goes to three days a week. Who the hell wants to read nola.com – it’s so bad. They need a dose of aquatization – the term Steve Jobs coined about how to make the computer like aquarium viewing – just pure pleasure. Nola.com is very far from a pleasurable experience, as a matter of fact it is closer to an annoying one.

I read today in the printed paper that arrived at my doorstep, while I sipped my ice decaf coffee on the screen porch – an experience that is about to end – that Chris DeBarr is opening up a new restaurant in the American Can Company called Serendipity – slated to open later this month with live music booked by dancer and former Green Goddess maitre d’ Bug Brockway. Awesome is all I have to say. That is a venue that has been begging to happen.

Oh and to all the Times Picayune staff who got laid off – I feel your pain, but take it as an opportunity to start anew.
