Dog in a bucket

Wayne and Timothy are here fixing the front door – they shortened it, put in a bronze threshold that I got which has an interlocking feature, and they also redid the fins – except now one is too short, so that is going to have to be made from scratch. While they were working, I went down to check on them – the first time Timothy said, “You have a beautiful house and I can tell you take pride in everything you have done to it.” Thanks for noticing, I said.

I went down again, and Timothy was staring out at the bayou and he said, not knowing that I was behind him, “nice view,” and then three little boys rode by on bicycles and one had a puppy in a bucket. “Wow,” he said, “It’s not every day you see a dog in a bucket. It’s the first time I’ve seen one. You see something new every day.”
