I took Dr. Ambrose’s history class at UNO and fell instantly in love with the man. And then I went on to read all of his books. When I moved to California, I ended up working with his niece who is also named Rachel. So it was with a heavy heart that issues surrounding his plagarism came up and then he passed without having his name cleared. It was good to travel the Stephen Ambrose Memorial Highway as I headed here to Georgia. He deserved better.
