I called my sister in law in Atlanta since both she and my brother are appraisers and asked them what they thought about the situation. She said two appraisers can definitely have a different take – it sounds like this one did not do her homework and drive by the place on Harding she is calling a comp, instead she went by the description which says “bayou view” – her advice was to call the appraiser who is familiar with this area and ask him what lender he typically works with and then start with that lender.
I went through the worst case scenarios with mom and it just made me sigh – heave a big sigh – but in the end, I’ll figure it out, it’s just again, another thing.
