In the last seven years, our calendar has been marked by one big event after another – terrorist attacks, Iraq war, dot.com implosion, and Katrina – I’m for not putting any more dates on the calendar – I’m for the little events like dinner with a loved one, walking my dog, loving my lover. The next big date I want to pencil in is Nov 4th when we elect Obama as our new president.
Little by little you work away the blues and get back to normal after evacuation and re-entry – it just doesn’t happen overnight. It’s nice to have friends and neighbors and a place you love to ground you back into routine.
