What we call food

The girls all went out last night and I stayed home with tired Tin, rebellious obnoxious and un-napped Tin. Whew. By the time I put him to bed (early) he yelled and then put his head down and went right to sleep. And I planted myself in front of the television and watched my taped John Besh cooking shows. OMG!

That guy is amazing. I watched about four episodes and afterwards felt that everything that I have eaten in the last year wasn’t worth the effort. From his scrumptious crawfish salad with artichoke hearts to his citrus pot de creme with lavender madelines – wow, I’m hooked.

I was reading about Uglesich this morning and dreaming about his fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade. His dad, a Croatian immigrant, brought with him a love of our fresh seafood and he was a pioneer locavore. Yum, I miss that place.

Now wasn’t I starting a cleanse diet sometime around now?
