Hurricane Ida has appeared on the scene to rub in the fact that I said hurricane season was over. Today in the park when Loca stopped to play with this group of dogs she loves, one told me, “Enjoy the day, it’s the last of the good ones.” Although the other woman said, “We don’t have to worry about Ida.” Well Ida is bringing weather that is for sure, we could see it in the sky yesterday as we were sitting on the porch – the winds had whipped up and there has been this grey flat sky as if portending what is to come.
We hear it is two to four inches of rain this evening – can you drown in an inch of water – the answer is a resounding yes, but we will hold our heads up as high as possible and wait for this – THE LAST – of the hurricanes to blow over.
