When Tatjana was out of the country and it was Tin and I alone, he was unruly and driving me nuts. I couldn’t figure out what was going on – was he acting out because she was gone, was he just going through a bad revolution – what was it? I was speaking to some nurses/mothers at the hospital and I was able to finally put two and two together.
In the depth of our tangle, I was on the floor in Tin’s room picking up some items that he had thrown down and I looked up and was startled to see that Tin had grown two inches – it seemed like – but he was definitely bigger.
One of these nurses explained to me that during growth spurts boys in particular act out aggressively – this passes but you definitely feel the aftershocks of it once the spurt is over and the change in them is glaring.
Wow.
Pretty gnarly to think that while I thought he was driving me crazy just because, his whole being was being pushed through a growth vortex that had him more discombobulated than he was making me – his outside was mirroring the chaos of his inside and causing all of us to whoosh towards growth.
Stuff you don’t know.
