Dinner among friends
Friends came for dinner last night and were quite alarmed about the rash of crime that has erupted in our neighborhood. They live uptown and one couple brought a visiting friend from El Lay. I told them that this is relatively a safe neighborhood and they have more to fear Uptown in the Isle of Denial than here because this seems to be the work of one psychotic. Well turns out the police were able to get an id on this guy and now there is an APB out and kudos to NOPD for getting down to business.
After Katrina, we didn’t even have a crime lab set up and when Helen Hill was murdered, the assailant was never caught because there was nothing set up to find criminals. The main thing is to root out this crap in every neighborhood not just ours.
