WordPress irritation

Six months ago WordPress quit recognizing my paragraph returns, and so I had to put in three returns to get one paragraph. Now WordPress is not recognizing any paragraph returns. Straight to summer

In one breath, spring was sprung and irises were just starting to bloom, but now it appears all the trees are fully leafed, the air is thick with humidity, and sweaters have been tucked away for the next six to nine months. Winter? Don’t remember. Spring? Ephemeral. Ah, but summer for eternity. And so we begin another year on the bayou. One lone pelican defying the flock and hanging around passed its time.
