So Sarkozy is on this kick to kick out the gypsies – that should solve France’s problems, don’t you think? We have someone staying at our house from Paris right now as she is waiting for her sublet to be ready in a few days. She tells me this morning that Sarkozy is also the name of the head of Roma – interestingly enough – meanwhile she also said that Sarkozy was to bring a new kind of leadership to France – he is conservative but he was also young and different. She said the French have been shocked at how his private life has entered the public domain and she is shocked at how a once liberal populace has become so conservative.
We have our own woes don’t we? Obama – whoa is he – is the bearer of all that is evil from the horrible regimes before him – he is like Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders – only he hasn’t shrugged yet. When you feel sorry for your own president it makes you disgusted not a patriot. We watched about ten minutes of CNN last night before we couldn’t stand it and had to turn it off. Is he a Muslim, or is he not? WTF? Does it really matter what his religion is? Really? Separation of church and state people – get a clue.
And right here in the Banana Republic we have a mayor – a real one this time – and we’re damn proud of that fact. How can it be that as much as the world likes to believe we’re a backwater – we have a smart, progressive, real life person sitting in the role of a politician?
