I always wonder how I can arrange my thoughts on Monday morning so that I’m not dreading the day but actually looking forward to beginning my week. One of the tricks of mind I use is basic – how many Mondays do you have left in your life? Better enjoy this one with its ups and downs. But the truth is that usually on Monday I’m able to adhere to a schedule I have in my mind of what I want to happen – up early, walk the dogs, eat a healthy breakfast, have less tea (read: less caffeine) and drink more water.
This morning on my way up to my office I stopped in the laundry room to put some items up and to feel the freezing cold air (this room is like a walk in refrigerator) and I saw a magnet that I put on the flash heater a while back, it says, “Sometimes we spend so much time looking at the door that has closed for us that we miss seeing the one that has opened.”
Not a bad message to begin a Monday on.
