Everyone is finding new ways to layer on clothes as the temps hover around the high 30’s and low 40’s. We don’t do well in cold weather – none of us down here do. Even the birds are congregating together to get some warmth. Today the whole family minus Bam Bam and Wolfie went for a walk around the bayou to feel the sun on our faces and it was brrrrrr, biting cold.
My friends in the midwest and up north would laugh at us down here but little do they understand that we have houses that are drafty, clothes that are thin, and our coat selection is severely limited.
Having grown up in Florida I can attest to what you’re saying. No question about it. I’d rather be in 30 degrees on a sunshiny day in Utah than a 40 degree day in north-central Florida. It’s that humidity. Kills you in the summer and the winter.
