A colleague I used to work with was fired a long time ago and she said it was because she was the Miner’s Canary. A more recent ex colleague sent a note saying that I tweet like a canary. I replied it is what it is.
My mind is simply where I am right now, in Ohio, with my friend who has just became a mother to a beautiful and adorable baby boy. Meanwhile, I miss my baby boy. I spoke with Tatjana and she said they were eating red beans and rice and Tin asked if I had made them, and she said yes, and he said, “Well I’ll have to thank Mommy when she gets home.”
That’s my boy!
But the internet is down and yesterday the computer was down and I have not been able to see him on Skype – and so the time here is starting to weigh heavy.
The weather here sucks – let me just say that – although everyone here seems to think it’s great because it’s only in the 40s. People! It’s raining and cold outside – the gym here is a pathetic closet with a treadmill and an artificial smell about it – my stomach can’t take anymore Indian food – and well the good news is that I got all my bank accounts reconciled, sent messages to a few people I’ve been meaning to respond to, had an interview with a long time source and friend and caught up on a lot of my reading.
And we declared today Mother’s Day!
