Savor the moment

We thought I was leaving to go pick up the baby but instead, it was another false alarm – so I unpacked the apples and put aside my road map for yet another night of blissful sleep. Last night, Tin put his favorite baby book – I Love You Stinky Face – into my traveling bag for the baby. He said when he comes he would give him his clarinet – Really?! both of us turned around and asked.

We are living in the moment – moment to moment waiting to see if this baby will be born, if the birthmother will be brave and do what other mothers have done through time and that is give up their baby for adoption because they don’t have the resources (read: not solely money) to take care of it.

This morning, I lingered in bed yet another morning that is too dark to get up, a slight chill in the air that made sinking under the covers all the more sweet, and yet up I got, and onward we must. My horoscopes of the last few days have again been in line with my universe (now that could be that I’m a cliche and it is easy to pin a horoscope tale on me).

Is every minute truly precious? Time moves forward without your even realizing it, and it can be hard to live in the moment, as everyone keeps telling you to — those moments fly by so fast! You shouldn’t beat yourself up about wasting time. Give yourself a clean slate and realize that if you keep pushing yourself to relax, you’re never going to! Schedule some free time and plan a date for yourself. Savor where you are in life — that’s living in the moment.
