The days of fasting

So far the fortnight of fasting that got underway on Monday – not really fasting – more like eating all my vegetables and not having any extras like alcohol or Brocato’s added to my diet – is not as bad as you would think. There is something calming about getting down to basics – and after having prepared for this week by cooking two lovely filets of drum, a saute of leeks and carrots with tarragon, and a salad composed of arugula, home grown sprouts, quinoa, feta, walnuts and a nice lemon dressing, I’d say no one is suffering over here. I’m even allowing myself a small piece of home made sunflower seed and molasses bran bread.

No, actually, I’m/we’re not suffering at all. Tin loved the quinoa salad.
