When I returned from my trip to the West Coast there had been a spate of young boys committing suicide and it was about being young and gay and having no where to turn. In my Real Boys, I just finished the chapter about being gay and young and having no place to go. The chapter was a lengthy explanation about how gay is not a choice and that was driven home time after time. Anyway, today I was watching a spate of videos<\/a> about gay men who have come out to tell young boys that it gets better.<\/p>\n

Let’s hope the next message we send young gay girls and boys is that it is better – they don’t have to wait.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
