Last night when we had put Tin to bed, I had tears in my eyes as I told Tatjana that I’m not getting enough of him. I insisted that I needed some mornings where I woke him up and gave him his bottle and so today was that day. I went in there so delighted to see him first thing in the morning and I scooped him up and sat with him as he is a slow riser and then realized as I was peeling away his flannel envelope that the diaper had exploded and the weird gelatenous substance had gone every where – so for the next half hour it was peeling away the gelatin layer and dunking him in the bathroom sink and afterwards when we finally got to the bottle, I felt like I had battled the big war and work hadn’t even begun.
